Effective on April 14, 2017 Federal natural gas safety regulations require EMU to install an excess flow valve (EFV) on all new natural gas lines to residential and small commercial customers that are served from our high pressure gas distribution system. These regulation also allow certain existing residential and small commercial customers to request the installation of an EFV on their existing natural gas service lines if they are connect to the high pressure gas distribution system.
