Bethany Lutheran Church will host the Glenn Henriksen Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 12 at 2:00 PM.

Classics at the Riviera will be showing “It’s A Wonderful Life” featuring James Stewart and Donna Reed on Sunday, December 12 at 4:30 PM. Classics at the Riviera is sponsored by the Palo Alto County Arts Council with a grant from the Arthur & Audrey Smith Foundation.

Blue Christmas Service, the Annual Community Memorial Candlelight Service presented by Palo Alto Ministerial Association and Hospice of Palo Alto County, will be held on December 12 at 5:00 PM.  Refreshments provided immediate following the service.

The VFW will host a Soup Supper featuring chili, vegetable beef and chicken noodle soups (all homemade!) on December 14 from 4:30-6:30 PM.  The supper is hosted by the VFW and the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary.  Free will donation.

The Emmetsburg Public Library will host "Truer Words..." Non-Fiction Book Club on December 14 from 5:00-6:00. Discussing For All the Tea in China: How England Stole the World's Favorite Drink and Changed History by Sarah Rose. Copies of the book are available at the library.

The Emmetsburg Public Library's Nathan Clark presents: "Tasting Robert Fortune's Legacy," a program all about tea, on December 14 from 6:00-7:00 PM. Different types of tea and sweets will be served.

Emmetsburg Public Library will host Wacky Wednesdays Early-out Children's Fun Day program: Christmas Party on December 15 from 1:30-3:00 PM.

Emmetsburg Public Library will host Pokémon Training Camp: Learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game on December 15 from 2:00-4:00 PM. Ages 8 & up, sign up in advance. Preference given to those who have not already attended a Pokémon Training Camp held August-November.
