Chicks for Charity will be hosting an evening of fun and laughter. There will be a hamburger bar, games, raffle and an auction. The public is encouraged to attend. The free-will dinner will be served from 5 – 6:30. The Chicks are doing all the work and the money will be donated to the VFW.
Emmetsburg City Hall and Emmetsburg Municipal Utilities will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Thursday's solid waste route will be collected on Wednesday, November 22. Friday's solid waste route will be collected on Monday, November 27.
Tea-Time Cinema at the Emmetsburg Public Library is held every Thursday from 2:00-4:00 PM. Each week a different classic movie is shown at the library (each week in December is a holiday-themed movie) where tea is served. Free and open to all. AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meets at the Family Life Center at 711 Broadway every Thursday at 7:30PM.

Pokémon Club meets at the Emmetsburg Public Library, Room 14, every Friday. The International Games Month festivities continue with another trading card game demo immediately following Pokémon Club. One Piece is hot, and so is its collectible card game.
