Come to the library for a weekly toddler playdate. We will have toys set out for kids to play with while parents and caregivers get a chance to socialize. This is not a librarian run program, but it is a time for caregivers and kids to enjoy some scheduled playtime in the library.

The Lost Island Prairie Wetland Nature Center is hosting its annual Dad's Belgian Waffle Breakfast this Sunday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the VFW in Emmetsburg. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Nature Center at 712-837-4866 or contact a Foundation Board Member.

The regular monthly meeting of the Emmetsburg Public Library Board of Trustees, the governing board of the library. Please notify the library director by noon the day before the meeting to be put on the agenda. The meetings are open to the public and subject to Iowa's Open Meeting Laws.
The Grace Baptist Church hosts a food pantry from 5:00-6:30 PM on the first and third Tuesday of every month, year-round. Drive up the ramp where the lights are on to receive a box of food items.
Emmetsburg Public Library presents "Babytime!" every Wednesday from 10:00-10:30 AM. Babytime is a special storytime specifically for infants ages 0-12 months. Babytime will include songs, books, movement, and rhymes. Parents or caregivers are required to attend.
