First United Methodist Church Annual Soup Supper held at the Family Life Center at 711 Broadway. Soups include vegetable beef, chicken noodle and chili with rolls and bars for a freewill offering. This is sponsored by the Outreach Committee with proceeds going to outreach ministries.

Emmetsburg Fall clean-up day. Volunteers are asked to help pick up the remnants of summer before the season changes. Interested volunteers or businesses with employee community service hours should contact the Chamber to sign up at 712-852-2283. Rain date will be October 18.
Emmetsburg Public Library presents "Babytime!" every Wednesday from 10:00-10:30 AM. Babytime is a special storytime specifically for infants ages 0-12 months. Babytime will include songs, books, movement, and rhymes. Parents or caregivers are required to attend.
