VFW Memorial Day Ceremonies

The VFW Memorial Day Ceremonies will begin with a parade from the Methodist Church and process toward Five Island Lake for a program to honor deceased sailors.  At 9:30 following this lakeshore program, all participants will move to the cemetery where services will resume at the monument erected in memory of those veterans of all wars sleeping in unknown graves. Pastor Lana Williams, students from the Emmetsburg Catholic School will all take part in the memorial service and a speaker from the Iowa Army National Guard will conclude the program.  Please note that in the event of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be held at the VFW Post 2295 at 9:30A.
