PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Emmetsburg Municipal Utilities (EMU) of Emmetsburg, Iowa will be holding a Public Hearing to review an application for a State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan and to make available to the public the contents of an environmental information document and EMU’s project plan. These documents include design and environmental information related to the proposed improvements to Emmetsburg drinking water system.
The proposed project includes construction of a reverse osmosis treatment building at the existing Water Treatment Facility (WTF) site, which will have a hallway connection to the existing WTF building; installation of a new Dakota Aquifer well and associated water mains; miscellaneous site improvements at the well site and WTF site including a new sanitary sewer connection, grading, and installation of new or upgraded electrical utilities; and all necessary connections and appurtenances.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to inform area residents of the community served by EMU of this proposed action, discuss the actual cost and user fees associated with this project, and to address citizen’s concerns, if any, with the plan.

All interested persons are encouraged to attend this hearing. Written comments on this proposal may also be submitted prior to the hearing.
